Toy Hauler Fuel Station Lock: Securing the Onboard Pump Fill

A toy hauler’s onboard fuel station is one of the handiest features you can own — a real pump and fill on the side of the rig to top off dirt bikes, side-by-sides, and the generator without hauling gas cans. It is also one of the least secure openings on the whole trailer.

The exposed-fill problem

On the Forest River, Keystone RV, and Good Sam toy-hauler boards, owners describe the same thing: the fuel station has a full tank of fuel behind a cap that does not really lock. Park at a trailhead, a rally, or an overnight lot, and that fill is wide open to anyone who walks by. The worry is partly the fuel itself, but mostly:
