Most motorhomes leave the factory with the fuel cap sitting in an open pocket with no door and no lock. So do many 5th wheels and travel trailers with an onboard fuel station. For decades the only options were a locking gas cap, which replaces the cap but leaves the fill area exposed, or a homemade bracket. Permanent Fuel Port Protection takes a different approach. The RV Fuel Vault bolts on over the factory opening and stays there, covering the whole fill area with a keyed, 3/16-inch High Impact Reinforced Material door held by anti-tamper security screws. There is nothing to carry, store or swap at the pump. Owners just unlock, fuel and lock.
The line grew directly from owner requests. The company started with Super C and Class C motorhomes, then added Class A gas coaches on the Ford F53 and Workhorse chassis, a Round Bezel door for GM and International medium-duty Super C chassis, and a locking door for toy-hauler onboard fuel stations.
